Ha Haaaaa…reading this at 10.25 in the morning, on a bank holiday , still pretty wasted myself….makes my drunken night not look sooo bad…..despite thinking it was a good idea to buy everyone bottles of champagne…when I’m broke and stoopid and will need serious debt management sometime this week.
I’m terrible at hangovers and will have to spend the whole day in hangover mode …….

you narrowed it down to 10. Wow! In recent years I’ve perfected the art of getting other people to do stupid things whilst drinking with me. Such as, cycling past Pembroke College where they were a student and ending up in a ditch, without their cycle, in Abingdon and hitching a lift home at 8 the next morning.

I guess my number one is the time I got thrown out of the Great Britain juniors bridge team for bringing the game into disrepute after a tournament in France. Whilst I only remember as far as pissing up a petrol pump outside Lille, I am reliably informed the clincher was challenging a group of football fans travelling back from a European Cup tie to a fight. By the time I recovered my memory I was in a Guest House (not th eone that had been booked for us – I am informed they turned me away) taking 3 attempts to fill in the correct name on a cheque before projectile vomitting 360 degrees in the bathroom and slinking out to the station.

It did lead to one of those great pieces of marital trivia – one thing my wife and I both have in common is having things sent to us in college by Kent Constabulary – her handbag after she was mugged; my tote bag after I lost it on the streets of Dover.

Good list. Brings back many a memory of being in a shit band with a shit name.

I was once in a band called Suede Tess – named after some character or other in neighbours’ greyhound. If I ever had to present an argument as to why students should never be allowed to form bands, that would be my Exhibit A.

The Wombats would be my Exhibit B.
